All the while, Robin has continued her performance career on various L.A. stages and on the big and little screens. She was a founding
member of the comedy improv troupe The Merry Lincolns and often performs with the short-form improv group Monkey Shines. With her
distinctive voice, smart aleck wit and razor sharp timing, Robin is best known as a hilarious character actress and bold improv and
sketch performer, but she is also a skilled and thoughtful dramatic actress and was nominated in 2007 for Best Actress in the 168
Film Festival for her work in the independent dramatic short “Mirage”.
BIOGRAPHY
Rubber-voiced Robin Gwynne, comedic actress and one-time bikini model, blends funny and sexy in a quirky twist on the tried and true Hollywood formula. A former farm kid from Washington State, Robin started studying performing arts as a youngster and continued at the University of Montana, going on to receive her Bachelors in Drama, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington. She performed in Seattle-area professional theatre for several years before making the move to Los Angeles. Here in L.A., she has studied at the Joanne Baron/DW Brown Studio, the Piero Dusa Conservatory, the Groundlings School, as well as many others. In February 2009, Robin graduated from the Second City Training Center L.A. where she further honed her comedic chops and went out with a bang in the sold-out show "Unprotected Sketch".
